Sig M18 Vs Glock 19 - It's Glock vs. SIG: Is this a fighting word, son? See why Travis thinks the P320C can come out on top.
SIG's P320 has been a hit. Not only with the military adopting the M17 and M18 series, but with hundreds of law enforcement agencies and tens of thousands of concealed carry vehicles. SIG has thrown their full weight behind the gun and allowed customers like me to pick and choose components for our P320s to make ourselves. I have done just that with my own P320C, C stands for Compact.
Sig M18 Vs Glock 19
The compact size of firearms as we know them today started with the Glock 19 and the SIG P228. The Glock 19 series quickly became the standard bearer of polymer-frame, striker-fired pistols. Glock has gotten a little complacent, and the P320C could eat lunch before they know it.

Like the Glock 19, the P320C offers a compact, double-stack pistol that's big enough to fill a hand but easily concealed. Unlike the Glock 19, the P320 comes with proper metal sights, custom Picatinny rails, ergonomic grips, and do-it-yourself capabilities. Mine has a Custom Series slide with an optical mount and an X series Grip Unit with a Legion series trigger.
Being able to pick and choose your components puts the P320C above most guns in its price range.
The core of the P320C and P320 series, in general, is the FCU. The Fire Control Unit is an officially recognized firearm component of the P320. This little fellow carries a serial number and gives shooters the ability to jump between the gun and the frame. I can convert the P320C to a full size P320 with parts that I can easily order online.
This is considered a unit beyond any other pistol that I know of today. It allowed me to buy my own dream P320C and can allow you to do the same. The P320C comes standard with metal night vision, two magazines, and several settings.
Sig P320 M18 Versus Glock 19x
The gun weighs 25.8 ounces, is 7.2 inches long, 1.3 inches wide, 5.3 inches tall and has a 3.9 inch barrel. It's a compact pistol that's easy to conceal, but a fully capable combat pistol. It can run a full-sized light on a Picatinny rail and, as you can see, is the perfect host for optics.
If you're not a fan of the Glock's grip angle, fear not. The P320C has a more Americanized grip angle that is very similar to the 1911. While this is a personal preference, it gives me a more ergonomic grip. At the rear we have a beautiful beavertail that encourages high grip to maximize control.
Under the trigger we have a nice undercut to support that high grip. It is a comfortable pistol grip and seems to fit both large and small hands.
The controls are simple. The slide version is a classic SIG. This means it is easy to reach, but also very easy to pin down when you shoot, making it pretty useful. It's two sides, which is good, though. The magazine version is easy to reach and reversible but not double sided.
Compact P320 Or M18? Which To Buy?
In my hands, this is one of the most accurate pistols on the market. When I added the red dot, it was even better. The P320C gives me the ability to ring an 8 inch gong at 50 meters with no problem. The Legion trigger provides a flat and very dry trigger that slides back into a slight wall and then breaks smoothly.
Speaking of speed, I went to the 10-10-10 drill and smoked it with no heat. The 10-10-10 drill is ten rounds on a B8 target at ten yards in ten seconds. I did it with all of them, not only black, but in 9 laps in seven seconds in my first run. From there, I just watched my time drop by a fraction of a second while maintaining good accuracy.
Excellent trigger, optics and ergonomics give the P320C the edge in this setting. However, even the P320C can shoot straight. This feature helps the sniper eliminate human error, but if the core of the gun is flawed, they are useless.
Oh, this is a big problem that will cause the firearm to fail quickly. If it doesn't work, precision, ergonomics and the like are useless. So the P320C runs? Well, in my few hundred rounds, I can happily say, yes, it works.

Besides me, the US military is tortured by guns quite a bit, as well as dozens of law enforcement officers across the country. I would say that it is very reliable.
The SIG P320C provides a better compact pistol. It is user adjustable, highly accurate, reliable, and currently the choice of the US military in the form of the M18 series. If you want a better Glock 19, the P320C is the way to go.
